Liverpool 3rd, Man Utd 7th: The Premier League table over the last 100 games is fascinating

The 2025/26 Premier League season is entering its final run-in, with Arsenal leading the way for their first title in over 20 years, while the likes of Wolves, Burnley and West Ham are battling against relegation in the final weeks of the season.

Over the years, we have seen cycles of dominance emerge and end, while there have been teams who have surprised fans with fantastic campaigns and prolonged runs of form, while some may have been lucky to stay in the division.

But what if the Premier League season was 100 games, rather than just 38? 17 teams have been present in the top-flight over the last 100 game weeks, stretching back to September 28th 2023, and this is what the table looks like in that time period.

17-12: Tottenham Struggles Evident

Unsurprisingly, this season's basement club Wolves would also be right at the bottom of the 17 team table over this 100 game period, having won just 27 of their last 100 fixtures in the top flight.

Just above them would be West Ham, who currently sit inside the bottom three this season, after managing just 29 wins themselves, but surprisingly they are just six points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who have been competing in the Champions League this season.

Spurs have just 34 wins from their last 100 games, showing that their troubles are not just rooted to the most recent managerial tenures. Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, and Brighton make up 14th to 12th in the table as ever-presents, with none of the six teams able to earn a positive goal difference.

Moving up the table, Fulham and Brentford can't be separated by anything other than goal difference in the last 100 games, with both teams claiming 38 wins and 134 points.

Everton have only earned 35 wins, but they have also lost just 35 times, putting them in ninth place, one point above the two London clubs. Bournemouth's excellent form in recent seasons is also reflected, as they sit in eighth place with a +3 goal difference, and 142 points from their 100 games.

Surprisingly, Manchester United sit just above them in seventh place, with the Red Devils having won just 41 games, earning just five more points than the Cherries. That puts them firmly behind Newcastle, who take sixth place with 159 points, and an impressive 180 goals scored.

6 Newcastle 100 47 18 35 180 145 +35 159

7 Manchester United 100 41 24 35 148 143 +5 147

11 Fulham 100 38 20 42 144 148 -4 134

1-5: Arsenal Top, Liverpool Third

Mikel Arteta

The top five isn't that surprising when you think back over the last three seasons of action, with Aston Villa having won 50 of their last 100 games in the top flight and registering 173 points to put themselves in fifth place.

Chelsea sit just above them in fourth with 175 points, despite having won the same amount of games. Reigning champions Liverpool can only sit third, however, as they feel the effects of a difficult last campaign under Jurgen Klopp and poor title defence under Arne Slot.

Manchester City enter in 2nd place with 61 wins and 205 points, having won the title in that time frame, but unsurprisingly it's Mikel Arteta's Arsenal who sit top of the pile.

The Gunners have finished as runners-up in the last three campaigns and sit top of the pile this season. Impressively, they've conceded just 79 goals in their 100 games, and sit 14 points clear at the top as the best team in the country over the last 100 games.
