Manchester United have held initial talks about signing Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga this summer, according to reports.
The Old Trafford side have reportedly registered early interest in the French international, who could be allowed to switch clubs after the season.
Real Madrid are reportedly preparing for a major squad overhaul after the season, which could see several first-team stars leave, with Camavinga’s future among those uncertain.
The 23-year-old midfielder joined Real in the summer of 2021 and has made 213 appearances for the Spanish giants since, lifting the Champions League twice in 2022 and 2024.

According to TEAMtalk, Camavinga’s representatives have already begun exploring potential next destinations for the Frenchman, with Manchester United among the clubs interested.
The Red Devils could face competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool for Camavinga’s signature, with the Anfield side seen as early frontrunners.
Camavinga is believed to be open to a move to England, but he aims to continue playing Champions League football at his next club.
Considering all three Premier League sides are competing for European spots this season, finishing outside the top five could harm a club’s chances of signing the Frenchman.
Manchester United are on the lookout for a new midfielder ahead of the summer window as they look to replace Casemiro, who is set to leave at the end of his contract.
The Old Trafford side have been linked with a host of Premier League-proven names in recent months, with Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson among their top targets.
Why Camavinga Could Be United’s Next Pogba

A move for a Real Madrid superstar of Camavinga’s calibre would create plenty of buzz around United, much like in 2016, when they broke their transfer record to bring in another French midfielder, Paul Pogba.
Camavinga and Pogba share a number of similarities. At the same age, Pogba was a dynamic, box-to-box midfielder who carried the same flair and confidence on the ball that Camavinga shows now.
It is perhaps unsurprising that Camavinga called Pogba his ‘inspiration’ back in 2020, when the ‘world-class’ 23-year-old was still developing at Rennes.
Pogba, who came through United’s youth ranks as a teenager, ended up costing the club £89m when they re-signed him in 2016. A move for Camavinga in a similar price range would hardly be a surprise in today’s market.
