Asked if Cherries fans can expect to see two new head coach contracts in quick succession, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “First, I’m very pleased.

“I'm very happy for Helen because I think it's probably for her like a biggest thing, because she will go from also a part-time job to a full-time job.

“I think she is betting also in her career in football because she will dedicate everything now to the club. And I think also the club has given her three years to develop something.

“I don't know, I hope even they can play in the second division next season.

“They are really close. I don't know if they will do it. If not, it will be the next one.

“And in my case, we will see. We will see what happens and you will know when it happens.”
