Sami Mokbel of the BBC reports that Scott will lose the place he earned for the last Three Lions camp, with Everton’s James Garner in line to replace him.
He was given his first call up in November for the qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, and was left out of the squad for the first of the two, before being an unused substitute for the second.
The 22-year-old has been hugely impressive since.
He has stood out in a Cherries team that is currently ten games unbeaten in the Premier League, so there surely could not have been much more that the Bournemouth midfielder could have done to be included.
The squad will be announced at 10am.
