Jaydee Canvot’s performances at Crystal Palace have drawn the attention of Europe’s elite ahead of the summer transfer window.
Sacha Tavolieri reports that the 19-year-old has turned heads across Europe after establishing himself as a regular starter at Selhurst Park.
Canvot steps up after Guehi departure
Canvot has quickly filled the gap left by Marc Guehi after his January move to Manchester City. Since that transfer on January 19th, Canvot has made 10 appearances.
Before Guehi’s departure, Canvot made 13 appearances but mainly featured as a rotation option or injury cover. Since January, he has started seven matches in all competitions. That includes the club’s last three consecutive Premier League games.
European elite watching
According to Tavolieri, clubs across Europe have taken notice of his rise. He reports that several top sides are already monitoring the defender.
Crystal Palace want to keep him, but they have not ruled out a record-breaking sale. The Eagles would demand a significant fee to approve any move.
Palace signed Canvot from Toulouse for €23m plus add-ons last summer, viewing him as the long-term replacement for Guehi, who looked set to leave at the time. Instead, Guehi stayed until January, which limited Canvot’s opportunities and left him watching from the sidelines.
Development in the Premier League
Jaydee Canvot has said he used that period wisely to adapt to the Premier League.
Now, he plays regularly under Oliver Glasner and continues to attract interest from across Europe. Tavolieri does not name the clubs tracking him.
Canvot’s combination of height, athleticism, and composure on the ball has already made him one of Europe’s most talked-about young defenders. He has now added Premier League experience to that profile.

What would qualify as a record sale remains unclear. Transfermarkt currently values Canvot at €20m, less than Crystal Palace paid last summer, but interest from elite clubs could easily push that figure much higher.
