The 49ers have now sent Leeds United officials to join the race for an impressive attacking star, who is even outscoring new England call-up Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Leeds have "work to do" in survival bid, says Farke
If you offered Leeds a place three points above the dropzone with eight games left to play at the start of the season, then Daniel Farke certainly would have taken it. Now, it is their reality as they aim to finish the job they started by retaining their Premier League status at the first time of asking.

Games against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur, Burnley and West Ham United all stand out as ones that Leeds must not lose if they are to comfortably survive this season.
Farke knows that there's still work to do, too. The German told reporters earlier this week: "We’ve still got work to do. If we don’t win six to eight points then we probably don’t deserve to stay in this league, but I’m pretty sure we will prove we do.

He could leave his club for a much cheaper fee than previously suggested.
"Always expect every team to fight until the end, to grab their chance to stay in the league. (This is) one of the seasons where you maybe need a few more points than previously, when 32 might have been enough.
"I don’t expect it will happen again this season, we need to win at least six more points, but might need one or two more. Six to eight points are needed, eight opportunities and we want to do it."
Survival would, of course, do so much for Leeds on the pitch. But away from the action, it would open the door for targets such as Francis Onyeka and Pavel Sulc.
Leeds dispatch officials in race to sign Pavel Sulc
As reported by Sports Boom, the 49ers have now dispatched Leeds officials to join the race for Sulc. The Lyon attacker is at the 'top of their shortlist' and would cost up to a club-record €45m (£39m) if the Whites make their move ahead of the likes of West Ham and Everton.

It's easy to see why the attacking midfielder is a top target. With 14 goals and 10 assists in all competitions so far this season, Sulc is actually outscoring Calvert-Lewin (10 goals), who has just been called up to Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions squad after his own excellent individual campaign.
Scouts suggest Sulc is the perfect "shadow striker", so the prospect of him operating behind target man Calvert-Lewin is mouth-watering.

Since he was dubbed "incredible" by talent scout Jacek Kulig back in the 2023/24 campaign, Sulc has reached a new level entirely. Now, the Premier League is calling and it's hard to argue against the idea that he would be the perfect fit to prodvide support for Leeds' number nine.
