Crystal Palace made hard work of it, but a 2-1 win over AEK Larnaca has now booked a spot in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Conference League.
A two-legged tie against Fiorentina awaits after two goals from Ismaila Sarr fired Crystal Palace to victory over AEK Larnaca in Cyprus, although Oliver Glasner once again witnessed some woeful finishing from his side.
Not only are the Eagles into the quarter-finals of a European competition for the first time ever, but UEFA have handed over some prize money to make our progress in Europe even sweeter.
Crystal Palace bank over £1m after knocking out AEK Larnaca
Steve Parish saw £674,135 arrive from UEFA following the Round of 16 win over Zrinjski Mostar, but almost double that amount has been awarded after defeating AEK Larnaca.
UEFA have paid out a sum of £1.1m to Crystal Palace after reaching the last eight of the UEFA Conference League.
It is by no means a huge amount of cash in the context of modern football, but for a side who very nearly went extinct in 2010 before the CPFC 2010 consortium stepped in, it is hard to fathom.
You can see the total range of prize money below, with almost £6m up for grabs if Crystal Palace go all the way to the UEFA Conference League final and win the competition.
Winner: €7m (£5.90m)
Runner-up: €4m (£3.37m)
Semi-finalists: €2.5m (£2.11m)
Quarter-finalists: €1.3m (£1.10m)
Round of 16: €800,000 (£674,135)
Reaching knockout round play-off: €200,000 (£168,533)
League-phase wins: €400,000 (£337,067)
League-phase draws: €133,000 (£112,075)

Glasner will have to tackle the first leg against Fiorentina – which takes place at Selhurst Park on Thursday 9th April – without Jorgen Strand Larsen, after the Norway international received a costly yellow card in Larnaca.
It means Jean-Philippe Mateta could get a surprise chance to be a saviour for Crystal Palace once again, having fallen from hero to zero in January after attempting to leave SE25.
Glasner did reveal that he expects Eddie Nketiah to be fit in time for the first leg against Fiorentina, however, so the Austrian has a tough decision to make about who replaces Larsen.
