Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Crysencio Summerville is not available for Sunday’s game against Aston Villa.
Summerville has been dealing with a calf injury, one that ruled him out of West Ham United’s draw with Manchester City last weekend.
The Dutchman has been one of the heroes of the club’s recent revival, and it would not be too much to suggest that the club’s Premier League survival hopes rest on his fitness.

Summerville ruled out of West Ham vs Aston Villa
Speaking ahead of Aston Villa versus West Ham, a typically evasive Nuno said: “Cry is not available for this game. He’s getting better each day, but for Sunday he’s not going to be available.”
At this stage, West Ham are not thought to have any other fresh fitness concerns.
Nuno said: “Ollie Scarles is OK. Outside of Cry, everybody is available and working.”
Summerville has scored five goals while registering three assists in the Premier League this season, having burst into form from mid-January onwards.

West Ham are winless in the five games that Summerville has missed this season.
Interestingly, however, they only lost one of those games – which came in defeat to Liverpool back in November.

Still, there is absolutely no doubt that the former Leeds winger is among West Ham’s most important players, and they will need him fit if they are to lift themselves out of the relegation zone.
Three points at Villa Park would be enough to pull clear of the drop zone heading into the international break because relegation rivals Tottenham and Nottingham Forest are playing each other.
