Manchester United prospect JJ Gabriel has been called into the England under-17s squad.
JJ Gabriel has reached a new personal milestone after being called into the England under-17s squad for the first time.
The Manchester United youngster has impressed this season for the club’s under-18s side, where he is the top scorer in the country in his age group at only 15.
Gabriel has scored 21 goals and provided seven assists, including a match-winning assist in the FA Youth Cup quarter-final.
Previously, Gabriel had been capped three times for England’s under-16s and six times for the under-15s.

Ayden Heaven, Godwill Kukonki earn calls
Manchester United defender Ayden Heaven has been named in the England under-20 squad for the upcoming fixtures.
He has previously played twice at this level, also appearing for the under-19s and 18s.

Godwill Kukonki has been selected for England’s under-18s squad for the first time.
Kukonki has previously been capped twice at under-17s level.
There is no place in the England squads this time for Jack Fletcher, who was called up to the under-19s earlier this season.
His twin brother Tyler Fletcher has been selected in the Scotland under-21 squad.

Mixed news for first team stars
Two Manchester United players were named in the senior England squad, with Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire deservedly earning recalls.
Both players have been instrumental at club level in recent weeks.
There is no place in the squad for Luke Shaw despite his own contribution to United’s resurgence, and his chance of making the World Cup now looks to be bleak.
