Manchester United are now close to a huge double agreement after an update from Athletic journalist David Ornstein on Friday afternoon.
Man United are in advanced talks with both Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo over new contracts to extend their stays at Old Trafford, with the duo becoming key players under interim manager Michael Carrick in recent weeks.
The proposed offer for Mainoo would keep the youngster in a red shirt until 2031, while Maguire is set to be given another year with the option of a further 12 months, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the campaign.
Mainoo and Maguire have both been linked with exits from Old Trafford in recent months, but now they look set to remain in Manchester.
