Tottenham injury update: Solanke, Vicario latest as 7 players ruled out for Nottingham Forest

Tottenham will be without at least seven players for their crucial Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest, with both sides battling to avoid relegation.

Igor Tudor's tenure so far has seen the former Juventus manager forced to deal with a host of injury troubles, just like his predecessor, Thomas Frank, did.

The lack of available players has undoubtedly made things more difficult for the north London club, who are sitting just one point above the relegation zone heading into the weekend's fixtures.

Spurs face Forest at the weekend in a pivotal game for both sides, with Tottenham in 16th and Vitor Pereira's side in 17th.

If one of Spurs or Forest secure all three points this weekend, it'll be a major boost in the battle to stay in the Premier League, especially if West Ham lose.

Solanke and Vicario Updates at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke celebrating

Dominic Solanke missed Tottenham's game against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League due to a hip injury, with Tudor confirming that he expected him to be fit enough for their clash with Forest.

"Unfortunately he has some problem with the hip. It is no big deal but he hasn't made it for today but I think he will be good for Sunday."

The former Bournemouth centre-forward was also named in Thomas Tuchel's England squad ahead of the international break, hinting that there are no major injury issues for Solanke.

Reports also emerged on Friday afternoon that Guglielmo Vicario is set to undergo surgery after pulling out of the latest Italy squad.

Interestingly, Vicario is set to be available to face Forest, and will undergo his surgery after that.

7 Players Set to Miss Tottenham vs Forest

Dejan Kulusevski in action for Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham went into their Premier League clash with Liverpool with 13 players unavailable, so it's certainly a boost that only seven could be ruled out for their game against Nottingham Forest.

The likes of Wilson Odobert, Dejan Kulusevski, and James Maddison are not expected to return in the near future, but we could see the latter two before the end of the season.

Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Ben Davies also remain out injured, but we could see them back in a Tottenham shirt next month.

Joao Palhinha could return after his recent issues, but Yves Bissouma will be unavailable for the north London outfit.
