Key Events
41' BOU 0-0 MUN - Save
Tavernier's free kick is saved by Lammens fairly comfortably.
Yoro commits a foul on Tavernier in a dangerous position.
36' BOU 0-0 MUN - Save
Truffert's shot through a crowd is saved by Lammens.
35' BOU 0-0 MUN - Great save
A love chip to the back post sees Fernandes' volley denied by Petrovic's legs.
Casemiro booked for pulling back Tavernier
27' BOU 0-0 MUN - Cunha good
Cunha has been the standout player so far. He has been at the heart of everything good for the Reds.
25' BOU 0-0 MUN - Block
Cunha's cross finds Amad whose volley is well blocked by Truffert.
Carrick and goalkeeping coach Craig Mawson both waving the players forward when Lammens has a goal kick. United clearly keen to avoid getting sucked into Bournemouth’s pressure. They nearly got punished when Dalot gave the ball away cheaply.
Bournemouth feel they should have a penalty after Maguire pushes Evanilson. Attwell says no and VAR agrees.
22' BOU 0-0 MUN - Save
Rayan looks to catch Lammens out but he makes a good save at his near post.
21' BOU 0-0 MUN - Block
Maguire's shot goes wayward. It falls to Cunha on the edge of the box whose strike is blocked by Hill.
17' BOU 0-0 MUN - Corner
A good counter ends with Dalot crossing for Fernandes whose shot is blocked into the side netting.
Fernandes and Mbeumo link up but the captain's strike is saved comfortably enough.
14' BOU 0-0 MUN - United look fluid
United played some nice stuff going forward, worked a couple of openings and the front three have switched positions well. We’ve seen a bit too much of it in some games but so far tonight it has looked more natural and less forced. Led to some good, free-flowing moves and causing Bournemouth some problems.
12' BOU 0-0 MUN - Shaw enemy No.1
As a former Southampton player, Shaw is being booed by the home fans. His first meaningful touch ended with him giving the ball away.
11' BOU 0-0 MUN - Save
Cunha hits it on his left and Petrovic parries it behind for a corner.
6' BOU 0-0 MUN - Sharp start
That energy Carrick talked about is on show already. A fast start for Bournemouth and they have had a couple of good openings, but when United got their chance it was composed stuff, nice build-up and clever play from Amad to work the space. Was a good shot as well, met with a good save. United will be looking to get a foot on the ball and slow it down when they can.
Good chances at both ends. First, Amad cuts onto his right and forces a good save from Petrovic. Bournemouth counter and Rayan drills a shot across the face of goal.
2' BOU 0-0 MUN - Corner
A little sloppy from United as Maguire blocks Evanilson's cross behind for a corner.
1' BOU 0-0 MUN - Kick off
We are underway at the Vitality Stadium. It is United kicking us off!
The teams are out. Kick off is just moments away...
We are moments away from the teams coming out at the Vitality Stadium. Can United pick up only their second victory on a Friday night in the Premier League era?
When asked about whether Carrick should become the permanent head coach, Andy Cole told Sky Sports:

Speaking ahead of the game to Premier League Productions, Bournemouth defender James Hill believes the Cherries are full of confidence.
We’ll hopefully not concede as many goals as last time, but it’ll be an exciting game tonight. Two teams that are at it, two really good teams a well. It’ll be an interesting game. We’re very confident.

We are just 30 minutes away from kick off on the south coast! Can United enter the international break on a high?
Carrick’s 10th game in charge tonight and seven of the starting XI have started all 10 of them. That tells you how settled this team is at the moment. Had he not been injured, Martinez would probably have started in every game as well. Two of the seven, Maguire and Mainoo, have an England recall to toast tonight. Shaw has started the lot as well and will be disappointed he didn’t get back in. Maybe he will have a point to prove this evening.

More from Amad ahead of the game:
Like I say, we have to go game by game and try to win every game, that’s the priority. We are in a good moment. We are really happy with the new manager, since he’s arrived he’s tried to give his best. He’s a winner. We want to be as high as we can at the end of the season.

Amad thoughts
Speaking ahead of the game to Premier League Productions, Amad said:
I think everyone seems happy. We really look happy, we are confident right now. We have to keep going like this and try to win every game. Obviously we have to go game by game. We want to finish as high as we can.

United have arrived at the Vitality Stadium.
The 24-day break will give Martinez an opportunity to recover. United are hopefully the centre-back will return for the clash with Leeds on April 13. In the meantime, it is Yoro and Maguire who are trusted to hold down the defence.
