Luckhurst: Man United star spotted having a ‘moan’ at Carrick, who ‘shrugged his shoulders’ in…

Manchester United are awaiting a breakthrough in their Friday evening clash on the South Coast.

The Red Devils and Bournemouth have both had chances to find an opener, with the former coming closest in the opening half an hour.

At one point, Samuel Luckhurst noticed an exchange between Bruno Fernandes and Michael Carrick that suggests some early tension between the pair.

He said on X/Twitter: “Fernandes having a bit of a moan at Carrick, who shrugs his shoulders. Seemed to be telling Fernandes to stay more central.”

The Portuguese will be doing everything in his power to add to his remarkable tally of goal contributions that he’s accumulated this term.

Fernandes has notched seven goals thus far, but what really takes the cake is his 16 assists, which meant that he overtook David Beckham’s longstanding record of 15 in a single campaign – and Fernandes still has seven-and-a-half games left to play.
