Senne Lammens will be frustrated to concede twice against Bournemouth, but the Manchester United goalkeeper did show signs of progress.
Manchester United had to settle for a point at the Vitality Stadium after drawing 2-2 with Bournemouth in frustrating fashion.
The Red Devils twice took the lead on the south coast, including a penalty from Bruno Fernandes, but Senne Lammens was beaten by Ryan Christie and then Eli Junior Kroupi from the spot, meaning United dropped two points in their Champions League pursuit.
Lammens has proven to be a bargain for United because of his brilliant performances in his debut season, and he has also shown a brilliant attitude towards improving and learning.
Against Bournemouth, he put one of his only mistakes behind him and produced a brilliant save.

Senne Lammens overcomes free-kick criticism vs Bournemouth
In the reverse fixture this season, United drew 4-4 with Bournemouth at Old Trafford. It remains the highest number of goals that Lammens has conceded in one match.
In that 4-4 draw, Lammens was criticised for his positioning when Marcus Tavernier scored from a free-kick.

In the 40th-minute against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, Lammens came face-to-face with another Tavernier free-kick but this time he came out on top.
Not only did Lammens make the save, but his positioning was praised by Alan Smith on Sky Sports commentary, who said: “Really good positioning from the ‘keeper, made it look easy. He got a good look at it on the way over.”

Senne Lammens cannot be blamed for Bournemouth draw
Lammens has made very few mistakes in his United career to date, and that one positioning error against Bournemouth is just a minor blip on his otherwise brilliant record.
In Friday’s draw, Lammens was beaten by a well-placed Christie shot and a penalty. While Lammens has a strong penalty record, he is yet to save a penalty in United colours.

Lammens still made three saves and three high claims against Bournemouth, and he can hold his head high despite conceding twice and dropping points.
As pointed out by captain Bruno Fernandes, United did enough to win on the south coast, but decisions did not go in their favour.
