But he has told his younger players to be ready for their chance.
The Albion head coach could well name an unchanged starting XI for the second time in four games as he plots the downfall of Liverpool.
That would mean a backbone of Lewis Dunk, ex-Liverpool midfielder James Milner and Danny Welbeck.
Only 12 different players have started in the three recent wins.
Yankuba Minteh came into the XI at Sunderland in place of Kaoru Mitoma.
While pain in the latter’s ankle has now eased, Minteh did enough both on Wearside and in the second half against Arsenal to stay in the side.
Barring unexpected absences, a repeat of the XI at Sunderland looks likely.
If that is the case, things will get interesting on the bench.
Mitoma and Carlos Baleba are available again and Charalampos Kostoulas will be keen to return to the matchday 20.
Hurzeler said: “At the moment I'm leaning on the old players because I think they brought the stability, but it doesn't mean that the young players won't have any opportunity anymore.
“We speak a lot about the experienced players, the leaders at the moment, and they did an unbelievable job in the last few weeks. They were leading by example. They were leading by performance.
“But I think it's very important also to take care of the young players like Carlos Baleba, Georginio Rutter, Babis Kostoulas, I can mention now every name because they also played a very important role for us so far in the season.
“At the moment they need to wait for their opportunity.”
Possible Albion XI: Verbruggen; Wieffer, van Hecke, Dunk, Kadioglu; Milner, Gross; Gomez, Hinshelwood, Minteh; Welbeck.
