Scott’s showing was among a number of top performers as Bournemouth deservedly got a point, and they may perhaps feel they could have nicked all three at the death with United down to ten men.

The Daily Echo rates the Cherries players in the draw.
Djordje Petrovic: 8
The keeper made some excellent saves in the first half in particular, continuing his strong form between the sticks for the Cherries.

Adrien Truffert: 8
A top showing from the left back, who kept Amad Diallo largely quiet and he was also very threatening going forward. Like Scott, a good performance after he wasn’t picked by his national team.
Marcos Senesi: 7
Senesi was solid and both he and Hill barely gave Brian Mbeumo a sniff throughout the game.
James Hill: 6
As above, a solid showing from the Englishman. He could not do loads about the own goal, but another good performance from Hill.

Alex Jimenez: 6
A decent performance from Jimenez but he can have no complaints for his foul on Matheus Cunha which Bruno Fernandes converted from the penalty spot. Replaced by Adam Smith when on a booking.
Alex Scott: 9
Superb from Scott. On the day he was left out of Tuchel’s England side he showed his excellent form. Many have praised his performance for his mindset after being left out by England, but his performance, while a standout, was just a continuation of how he has been playing recently.
Ryan Christie Celebrates his goal. (Image: Richard Crease)
Ryan Christie: 8
Christie looks to be returning to his best in a Cherries shirt. The Scottish midfielder, along with Scott, helped to run the midfield for Bournemouth, and his goal was very well taken.
Amine Adli: 7
A good performance I thought from Adli on his return to the team. He looked a threat and caused Dalot some issues.
Marcus Tavernier: 7
A good performance from Tavernier as he moved more central behind Evanilson as Kroupi dropped to the bench.
Rayan (Image: Richard Crease)
Rayan: 7
As with Adli, Rayan was a threat and had a couple of chances. We saw a couple more shots from range from the Brazilian, which I’d like to see more of!
Evanilson: 7
As ever, excellent link-up play and pressing from the number nine, and he did well to draw the foul which won the Cherries a penalty and got Maguire sent off.
Substitutions:
Adam Smith: 6
David Brooks: 6
Junior Kroupi: 7
A well taken penalty from the teenager.
Ben Gannon-Doak: N/A
Great to see Gannon-Doak back on the pitch!
