Liverpool’s confirmed XI vs Brighton as Arne Slot benches Rio Ngumoha again

Arne Slot has confirmed his Liverpool starting XI and bench for the Premier League meeting with Brighton and Hove Albion.

Liverpool go into the fixture aiming to make it two wins from two after seeing off Galatasaray earlier this week.

The race for a Champions League place is heating up, and Arne Slot has named a strong XI for the final game before the international break.

Thoughts on no Ngumoha in the XI again?

Rio Ngumoha misses out on start vs Brighton despite Mohamed Salah injury

Alisson confirmed his injury blow on social media shortly before the clash, saying he is going to be out for a while.

It means Giorgi Mamardashvili has taken up the role between the sticks, which he may now be expected to do for several games moving forward.

Elsewhere, Mohamed Salah was injured in midweek, so Slot had to find a way to replace the Egyptian on Saturday.

He opted to start Jeremie Frimpong on the right wing, with Cody Gakpo off the left and Rio Ngumoha still not given another start despite impressing in his last league clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
