Juventus 1-1 Milan Primavera: Another draw as Domnitei scores again

Milan Primavera settled for another draw against a team above them in the standings earlier today, this time Juventus.

Giovanni Renna’s side clinched one point in their game against Bologna last weekend, though it could have been even more as Francesco Domnitei’s opener was cancelled out by the Rossoblu (1-1). As such, the goal was to get back to winning ways today.

However, instead Milan got the exact same outcome in the end. Juventus, sitting five positions ahead of the Rossoneri in the standings, opened the scoring in the 30th minute through Filippo Bellino. The midfielder made the most of a rebound, following a good run and shot by a teammate.

Before the second half was over, Domnitei showed his importance to this team once again as he won a 50/50 duel with a Juve defender, getting brought down in the process. The referee pointed to the spot and the striker himself stepped up.

With almost 42 minutes on the clock, he calmly slotted the penalty into the back of the net, sending it down the middle to give the goalkeeper absolutely no chance.

Juventus had the best chances to take the lead in the second half but ultimately, there wasn’t enough to separate the two sides and the game finished 1-1. Milan could have used a lot more points-wise, even if any point is better than no point in the relegation battle.
