James Garner stated the Hill Dickinson Stadium was the best he’s ever heard it, after Everton’s thumping win over Chelsea.

The Toffees ran out 3-0 winners against Liam Rosenior’s side, producing one of their best displays of the season.

Beto scored two, and the win was rounded off by Iliman Ndiaye in the second-half.

It is the first time Everton have won back-to-back games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, which was proving slightly problematic earlier this year.

But Everton are looking comfortable there again, and James Garner loved what he heard tonight.

Garner was interviewed alongside Beto after the win over Chelsea.

And it was not lost on the midfield just how good the crowd was.

He said on Sky Sports: “That was the best I’ve seen it. And to top it off with a win – amazing!”

Evertonians had been excited for this game after beating Burnley last time out at home, and also knowing that Chelsea have been struggling lately.

And the decibel levels were high from the off and all the way through – and seemingly the players were fuelled by this.

To a man, Everton were superb and the work-rate from everyone was perhaps even higher than usual.

It almost felt like the kind of performance and result that Hill Dickinson Stadium has been waiting for.

At times tonight, Chelsea actually looked inhibited and intimidated. They were so sloppy as Everton players, urged on by the fans, picked pockets and snuffed out fires.
