Leeds United have now strung two huge results after their blip over the last few weeks. At Elland Road on Saturday night, the Whites had every confidence of picking up a win.

The game gave Leeds the perfect chance to continue to pull themselves away from the relegation zone. But the match itself was not one for the neutral; there were barely any chances created and it was obvious that Brentford came to survive. Leeds United have had a lot of problems in front of goal this season, and on Saturday it clearly showed.

Keith Andrews gives honest opinion on Elland Road clash

Brentford and Keith Andrews looked like the happier side coming out of this game, as they avoided defeat and are still within five points of European places. Leeds however, failed to get a points cushion before all their relegation rivals are in action on Sunday. The Brentford boss spoke about the game and how difficult it is to play against the Whites at Elland Road.

“If you’re gonna get a result here, you have to do the basics, you have to respect what this stadium brings, how Daniel has the team playing, the threats that they pose. They do the basics really well, I think they’re a very honest team, and if you don’t match that, you’ll come unstuck pretty quickly.” Andrews said on Sky Sports.

A draw is not good enough for Leeds United

One point is not enough for the Whites; this is now a total of two points from a possible twelve during this relegation battle. Daniel Farke will be furious as his team could have easily won any of these previous games if they had taken their chances. Now, the club have to wait till after the international break before their difficult run of games begins. Leeds United had the perfect chance to end the week on a high note, but they blew it. Hopefully they will not regret not being able to kill off some of these games at the end of the season.
