The Brentford boss has had his say on Saturday's draw at Leeds United.
Brentford boss Keith Andrews praised the way his players handled the Elland Road atmosphere as they held on for a clean sheet and a point against Leeds United.
The Bees started with a back five, out of necessity due to the personnel available according to Andrews, and proved too stubborn for their hosts to break down. A first half devoid of quality or chances was followed by a second half largely dominated by Leeds, but they failed to create a clear-cut opportunity to take the lead.
"Hard, hard fought," said Andrews. "Very proud of what the players produced, really proud of the mentality coming to a very tough place against a really, really good side that do things really, really well. A lot of admiration for Daniel and what he's done in his career full stop, and certainly the way he's got the team going. And, yeah, good point."
Andrews said the encounter was an 'unbelievable' learning experience for the youngsters on his bench and lauded the way his players handled what was at times a raucous Elland Road atmosphere.
"I's not a secret, when this place gets going it's so lively, the fans, the way they get behind the team and how that can affect performances is something you need to deal with," he said. "The players attacked it really well tonight with the mentality to deal with it. Defending against some really impressive players. Immense pride that we dug deep to keep a clean sheet."
In terms of attacking intent, Andrews admitted his side could have been better in the first half but he put their second half struggles down to the pressure Leeds exerted.
"I thought first half we could have done a bit more with what we had, second half we were struggling to play into our front two or complete passes under pressure," he said. "You have to credit Leeds for what they produced in the second half, upped their game and caused us a lot more problems."
