It was a terrific night for the club, with so many players having fantastic games.
Beto grabbed the headlines with his two goals and assist, while many were left purring over Iliman Ndiaye’s goal.
But it was yet another top performance from James Garner, who drew praise from Wayne Rooney on Match of the Day.

Garner, of course, had just earned his first England call-up as a reward for his brilliant season.

And that actually seemed to make him play even better, with Garner simply everywhere for Everton against Chelsea.
His assist for Beto was also sublime.
Speaking on Match of the Day, Wayne Rooney hailed the Everton midfielder and also talked up the recent decision for the club to agree a new contract with the player.
He said: “He is (flourishing). I think he’s been outstanding, not just this season but last season as well. Obviously he gets his call-up to the England squad.
“It’s great for Everton that he’s recently just signed a new contract. For Everton to tie him down is massive!
“I actually did try to sign him as well, for when I was Derby County manager. But he went to Forest!”

As per Sofascore, Garner completed 46/48 (96% accuracy), and had the second-most touches of any Everton player (65).
As well as supplying that amazing assist, he also made six defensive contributions – four of which were tackles.
Garner was everywhere and with the Englishman in this kind of form, there is every chance of Everton securing European football for next season.
