The under-fire Liverpool boss said Albion were the better side and deserved their 2-1 win.
And he admired the way they played their football from the back.
Slot said Albion were closer to making the score 3-1 in the second half than Liverpool were to levelling at 2-2.
He told his post-match press conference: “We played a team who always want to play football and always want to bring a team out from the back.
“They have centre-backs who are calm on the ball and don’t kick every ball long.
“I think it’s nice to have a season ticket over here because this team always wants to play
“Apart from the result, I liked the way we competed against each other.
“It was just fairplay and both teams wanted to play.
“Just once in a while it’s nice to experience as well.”
Slot had no arguments about his side’s defeat although he highlighted their injury problems, including the pre-match loss of Alisson and Mo Salah.
Hugo Ekitike was forced out of the action very early after an accidental collision with James Milner.
Slot said: “Brighton deserved to win if you look at the second half.
“In the first half I thought it was an equal game but, in the second half, Brighton were the better team and deserved to win.
“Brighton did what we expected
“If you face a team who have only had 62 hours of rest, the first thing you do is make it an intense game.
“Play tough duels. Nothing wrong with the duels, by the way, but unfortunately there was a collision which led to Hugo going out.”
