Liverpool have taken a keen interest in Bournemouth forward Rayan, according to reports.

The Brazilian joined the Cherries for an initial £24.7m at the end of January, and he has played just 8 times since his arrival in English football.

However, TEAMtalk claim that Rayan’s progress is already being “monitored” by the Reds, and they could also take advantage of a release clause in the player’s contract.

The 19-year-old can be signed if a club is prepared to match his €100m (£87m) buyout fee. The figure has been set so high to put off potential suitors, but it’s a sum that teams may seriously consider paying if he fulfils his potential. Buy Liverpool apparel and gear from Fanatics here.

Ancelotti has labelled Rayan a “future star”

Earlier this week, Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti named the teenager in his squad for the country’s friendlies against France and Croatia. Asked to explain the player’s inclusion, he said:

“Rayan is a powerful, disciplined player with quality and a good attitude on the field. He’s performed very well in a difficult league like the Premier League.”

“I believe he’s young and that he’s a future star for the national team. I don’t know if he’ll be in the next World Cup squad, but based on what he’s doing, he deserves to be on the technical committee’s list.”

Liverpool are not the only team interested

TEAMtalk report that Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also tracking Rayan’s progress.

Some teams, including Arne Slot’s side, were watching the Brazilian forward even before Bournemouth wrapped up a deal in January, but he will now be a lot more expensive if any suitor tries to pursue him in the future.
