Kept things ticking over in midfield with a tidy display in and out of possession.

Made his presence felt in midfield but not threatened going forward.

Pressed high to win the ball and set up Gordon. Linked play up well with some clever passes and touches.

Connected well with Lewis Hall’s cross early on to head over the bar. Had another good chance later in the first half but hit the side netting.

Seen plenty of the ball but not attacked the goal.

Took his goal very well to give Newcastle the lead. Brought real intensity leading the line and worked hard.
