David Moyes was in doubt as to who the best player on the pitch was in Everton’s brilliant win over Chelsea.
The Toffees delivered one of their best displays of the season to claim another three points at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton fans, who was your standout performer in the 3-0 win over Chelsea?
So many unbelievable Toffees performers at HDS!
It was the first time Everton have won back-to-back games at their new home.
Beto scored twice for the hosts, and then laid on an assist for Iliman Ndiaye, whose finish into the top corner was sublime.
The goalscorers have come in for huge praise and rightly so.
But for Moyes, James Garner was the standout player against Chelsea.
David Moyes lauds James Garner after Everton’s win vs Chelsea
Moyes said on Everton’s midfield metronome (via BBC Sport): “Look, it could be biased of me, but for me he was the best player on the pitch. And he was up against a lot of really top players, full international players, Argentina, England internationals as well.

“I thought he shone out, and he worked really, really hard. He’s getting his rewards for the work he’s putting in.”
Garner of course, came into yesterday’s game buoyed, after he’s earned his first England call-up.
The star will be part of the Three Lions squad for the games with Uruguay and Japan over the international break, and be looking to make an impression.
With the World Cup now just around the corner, Garner – who also drew praise from Wayne Rooney after the win over Chelsea – will need to play out of his skin to get a seat on the plane.
Darren Bent recently suggested time could count against Garner in terms of making the final squad.

But certainly at club level, he is playing as well as anyone right now, and his call-up to this squad is fully deserved.
Hopefully, Thomas Tuchel will give him a decent amount of minutes for him to make an impact.
We know Jordan Pickford will be going to the finals this summer, but it would be superb if he had one of his teammates for company.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jarrad Branthwaite are both more than good enough to be in the England picture, but sadly them missing out on the latest squad could make getting seats on the plane very difficult.
So Garner is definitely now the best placed Everton player to join Pickford in the final squad this summer.
