Liverpool moved five points clear of the relegation play-off spot as they held a wasteful Brighton to a goalless draw in the Women's Super League.
The Seagulls had the better opportunities in front of goal, but they were forced to settle for a point as their winless run in the WSL stretched to four games.
Rosa Kafaji failed to beat Jennifer Falk on multiple occasions, while Fran Kirby might have done better to go alone when she found herself through on goal - rather than skew a squared pass behind an on-rushing Kafaji.
Looking to win back-to-back league matches for the first time this season, Liverpool also lacked a clinical edge when they carved out decent chances of their own.
Mia Enderby couldn't make the most of a one-on-one with Brighton keeper Chiamaka Nnadozie after sneaking in to steal possession from Marisa Olislagers.
But the visitors will feel the happier of the two sides as they head back to Merseyside with what could prove to be a crucial point.
After starting 2026 rock bottom of the table and without a win, Liverpool are now five clear of lowly Leicester, who face Aston Villa later on Sunday.
Brighton, meanwhile, remain in eighth - just four points above Gareth Taylor's side.
