A suspect has been arrested by police ahead of the anticipated Newcastle United vs Sunderland match.
Northumbria Police have reported one arrest was made ahead of the kick-off.
It follows after a number of videos was circulation on social media in relation to Newcastle United and Sunderland supporters goading one another.
Northumbria Police has reassured that in the main event everyone has co-operated, and there will continue to be an increased police presence in the city centre.
