The United States international worked hard and again put in a shift. However, he did little to cut open the Brentford defence at Elland Road on Saturday.
Graham Smyh noted that he was physically dominated by the Brentford players and was dispossessed several times as he again struggled to handle the physicality.
He indicated that the performance was just not good enough through his 4/10 match rating.
Smyth wrote in the Yorkshire Evening Post about Aaronson’s performance: “Outmuscled a few times, dispossessed a few times and very little he tried came off.”
Alarm bells ringing at Leeds
Leeds have not scored a goal in 419 minutes of Premier League football, which is an alarming stat as they aim to secure Premier League survival.
They have been warned that they need to start scoring goals again soon if they do not want to get sucked into the bottom three towards the end of the season.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has not scored a league goal since early February, and Lukas Nmecha‘s last league goal came in the 3-3 draw at Chelsea last month.

Leeds are not creating enough big chances, and the onus is on players such as Aaronson to provide the required service to the forwards in the run-in.
If things do not improve soon, Leeds could find themselves under some serious pressure after the international break.
They have a game against Manchester United lined up after the break, but they will also face Tottenham, Burnely and Wolves, where they could have a good opportunity to pick up the points needed to survive.
However, they are not going to be easy games, and Leeds need their attackers to score the goals to cobble together the points needed to survive.
