The latest from the Newcastle treatment room following a 2-1 defeat against rivals Sunderland in the Premier League at St James' Park

Newcastle United were handed two new potential injury worries during their loss against Sunderland, with both Anthony Gordon and Sven Botman leaving the pitch during the game.
Gordon had given Eddie Howe's side a 1-0 lead after 10 minutes at St James' Park. However, second-half goals from Chemsdine Takbi and Brian Brobbey saw Sunderland emerge as 2-1 winners.
Newcastle will now look to dust themselves down after a difficult week. The international break means that they have extra time until they are next back in action.
It also means that players with any bumps and bruises, or those stepping up their recovery, will have some more time to complete their rehabilitation.

Sven Botman
Injury: Head
The defender was replaced by Malick Thiaw in the 54th minute after suffering a head injury.
Potential return date: Unknown.
Sandro Tonali
Injury: Groin
After coming off during the midweek Champions League loss against Barcelona, the midfielder lost his race against time to be fit for the clash against Sunderland and instead watched on from the stands
Potential return date: Vs Crystal Palace (A) - Sun 12 April (2pm).

Bruno Guimaraes
Injury: Hamstring
The midfielder has been unavailable since February due to a hamstring injury, causing him to miss the last five Premier League matches. The midfielder has also confirmed that he is currentlyin isolation after being diagnosed with mumps.
What Howe has said: "He spoke with our medical team, and we've been in consultation with the Brazilian national team so he's going to do the first part of his rehab with the Brazilian national team, and then come back to us for the last four weeks.
"I think it's a good mix for Bruno; in the initial stages he won't be able to do too much, he gets a sort of mental refresh while doing some good work, and then comes back to finish off his final part of his rehab."

Lewis Miley
Injury: Knock
The 19-year-old has missed the last seven Premier League games due to a dead leg.
What Howe has said: "(Miley) will be after the internationals, hopefully after the break.”

Fabian Schar
Injury: Ankle
The defender suffered an ankle injury in January and underwent surgery. His recovery is now toward the end.
What Howe has said: "(Miley) will be after the internationals, hopefully after the break. Fingers crossed it will be the same with Bruno and also for Fab (Schär)."
Potential return date: Vs Crystal Palace (A) 0 Sun 12 April (2pm).
Emil Krafth
Injury: Knee.
What has been said: "Emil's had an operation on his knee so I think in all likelihood, it looks like his season is over, which is a real blow for us.
"He first suffered the problem on international duty. We hoped that he could come back and be okay, but it was clear in training recently that he wasn't going to get to the level needed, and there needed to be a surgical intervention."
Potential return date: Next season.
