Despite all of the positivity that has come from the result, Moyes admitted in his post-match press conference one ‘disappointment’.
David Moyes says international break has come at a bad time for Everton
Speaking to the media after the game, Moyes explained that the international break has come at a really bad time for Everton, as they’re in a good bit of momentum.
“Well, I’m actually a bit disappointed now that there is a break because I think we’ve got a bit of confidence and I think we’re playing with a bit more self-belief, and you can see it,” the Toffees boss stated.
“But I’m hoping Jimmy Garner, who’s going away for his first international trip, becomes an even better player.

Surely everyone is Moyes in now? 🤔
David Moyes.
“The boys who go away, who haven’t been there before, it can make them better as they can see what top players are like.
“But I would’ve probably liked, the way we’re playing at the moment, to keep it going. We’ve got Tarky and Jarrad back, which really helps us greatly, so we’re beginning to have a full squad.”
Everton now don’t play until the 11th of April, so there’s a 21-day gap between the win against Chelsea and their trip to Brentford.
The last international break in November saw the Toffees return to Premier League action with a 1-0 win against Manchester United.
So, Moyes will be hoping his players replicate that result at the Gtech Community Stadium.
