**Aaron Wan-Bissaka had a performance to forget against Aston Villa, but including today and recent weeks, his performances have sounded alarm bells.**
Wan-Bissaka has been West Ham’s starting right back almost the entire time since he put pen to paper, but in recent weeks, his performances have gradually gotten worse, and today was the worst of the bunch, with a handful of fans demanding the Congolese international be taken off at halftime… which he wasn’t.
He seemingly strolled around, and against Rogers, he seemed to be having a nightmare. At one point, it had gotten so bad that Wan-Bissaka attempted to just grab his shirt for half of the pitch instead of managing to run and make a tackle of some sort, very concerning.
Wan-Bissaka only completed one tackle today, which is the lowest he’s managed in a Claret and Blue shirt.
Obviously Aaron isn’t the only reason as to why we didn’t win today, that was collectively as a side, but specifically he stood out to be a worry and against Leeds United and Wolves, I would like to see Walker-Peters take the reigns considering he has previously impressed and perhaps Wan might need a break, not to mention, he also had AFCON duties to adhere to.
With only seven Premier League matches remaining this season, the concern continues to grow and considering other results around the Hammers didn’t go accordingly, it means that West Ham and Nunoo might have to make some changes to see us over the line.
This West Ham team has lost three games in the last thirteen, but if cracks begin to open, it’s certainly better to solve them sooner rather than later.
