How far every Man Utd star will travel on international break, one player faces 21,000-mile trip

Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo faces a mammoth 21,000 mile round trip over the international break.

International breaks midway through the season are not ideal, and some are more complicated than others.

Bryan Mbeumo has the most arduous task of any Manchester United player. He is required to fly a round trip of 21,000 miles.

Cameroon travel to Australia to play a friendly in Sydney, before flying to Melbourne for a second friendly with China.

He will travel further than any Manchester United player during the break.

It is less than ideal considering Mbeumo has had a dip in form lately. He has already had three international breaks this season plus an extended break at AFCON.

The only consolation is that he will get a full rest in the summer with Cameroon failing to qualify for the World Cup.

But that won’t help Manchester United in the short-term, who need a fresh and firing Mbeumo back on form.

The only consolation is that United play late with a delayed fixture on Monday April 13, after a long extended break, which gives Mbeumo extra recovery time.

What do you think is the reason behind Bryan Mbeumo’s recent dip in form?

Do you think he will end the season strongly?

Full breakdown of United star’s travel schedules

Bryan Mbeumo travels the furthest of any Manchester United player over the break, with Ivory Coast star Amad next up.

Amad is tasked with flying to South Korea for a friendly, before jetting back to the UK to face Scotland, a 13,200 mile round trip.

Meanwhile Senne Lammens‘ Belgium play games in Mexico and the USA (11,100 miles), with Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot‘s Portugal also jetting across the Atlantic to play in two countries (10,800 miles).

Casemiro and Matheus Cunha‘s Brazil have two games on the USA’s east coast, travelling 8,700 miles.

Several United players have easier schedules without time zone complications. Kobbie Mainoo has two home games with England at Wembley, a 350-mile round trip.

Michael Carrick will have to assess stars closely upon return

Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick may have an idea over who he wants to start in the next game against Leeds already.

But it is too early to put definitive plans in place as there are so many elements involved.

Mbeumo and Amad’s potential tiredness and jet lag will need to be factored in to Carrick’s planning.

It is very possible that Joshua Zirkzee or Mason Mount could force their way into a surprise starting role as they will be far fresher.

Both players were omitted from their respective international squads, and will hope to make a positive impression at Carrington and help to finish the season strongly.
