The two Championship clubs exploring a move to sign former Everton star Dele Alli

Former Everton playmaker Dele Alli is currently without a club.

Dele Alli left Everton in December 2024 after making 13 appearances for the Merseysiders.

The 37-cap England international joined Serie A outfit Como at the start of 2025, but he departed last September.

Surely everyone is Moyes in now? 🤔

Dele has recently confirmed he has no intention to retire and is hopeful of making a return to football soon.

With that said, according to Sportsboom, there are two Championship clubs exploring a deal to sign the 29-year-old.

The report claims that Championship relegation candidates Blackburn Rovers and West Bromwich Albion are showing an interest in signing Dele.

West Brom are thought to be ‘seriously considering’ the transfer, whilst Rovers have just made initial enquiries at the moment.

Indeed, if Albion are to land Dele’s signature, they’ll have to retain their Championship status and avoid relegation to League One this season.

The West Midlanders currently reside four points above the drop zone, having won two games on the bounce with new interim manager James Morrison.

Whether Dele is keen on a move to the second tier of English football remains to be seen.

The former Tottenham Hotspur star had hopes of getting back into the England squad as recently as 2024.

Dele turns 30 next month, which is often the prime years of a footballer’s career, so hopefully he can get back to a good level.
