Forest have leapfrogged Tottenham into 16th place in the Premier League table, and although Vitor Pereira doesn’t want to talk about rival clubs, it was a good weekend for the Reds.

Danny Murphy thinks Forest will stay up

Murphy was analysing the game for Match of the Day on Sunday night, and as a former Tottenham player, he was surprisingly complimentary about Forest.

When a graphic came on the screen suggesting it was Pereira’s first Premier League win in 15 attempts this season, Murphy defended his Wolves debacle and also made a new verdict on the relegation race.

He said: “I think that’s a bit misguided because of the Wolves scenario.

“If you look at Forest’s performances under Pereira, at Manchester City the week before last, they were good, it was a spirited and collective performance.

“In the last few weeks, they’ve been showing some really positive performances, and I’ve got a feeling that will kick them on. Yes, I do think they will be okay now.”

WHAT A WIN!!!

Pereira has done some good things since coming to the football club, and this week’s wins over FC Midtjylland and Tottenham are a testament to the work he’s been doing on the training ground.

Now, the challenge is for Forest to kick on once and for all this season and with games against Aston Villa, Burnley and Sunderland to come next, the Reds have a golden chance to save themselves this season.
