Man Utd have watched£25m star for years, his 100% duel and dribbling audition flew under the radar

Manchester United have been linked with Alex Scott and the Bournemouth star had an underrated performance against the Red Devils.

In the final match before the March international break, Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth’s Alex Scott played the full 90 minutes of the clash and did well up against United’s duo of Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo.

Towards the end of 2025 it was reported that United are keeping tabs on Scott as a potential midfield option in the summer, and scouts will have liked what they saw from the 22-year-old star.

Not only was Scott impressive in possession with a 90% pass completion, but the young English midfielder also completed 100% of his dribbles and 100% of his duels.

In contrast, Casemiro had an off day, only winning four of his 10 duels against Bournemouth.

Ineos need a long-term replacement for Casemiro and Scott put in a very impressive audition against the man he could replace at Old Trafford.

United have continued to keep tabs on his progress at Bournemouth and this summer could be the best opportunity for Ineos to pounce.
