Leeds United only managed to pick up a draw against Brentford at Elland Road over the weekend. The Whites missed their chance to distance themselves from the relegation zone.
They are still looking over their shoulders after results this week, with Nottingham Forest getting a huge win over Spurs. But the positive from the game is that Leeds did not lose ahead of the international break.

Daniel Farke’s men will have mixed feelings going into the break after failing to secure a win. The Whites will have a handful of players on international duty including Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach and Brenden Aaronson.
Leeds United star receives late call up for international break
Noah Okafor was one Leeds United player who was not expected to be called up for international duty. Switzerland boss Murat Yakin himself admitted the winger was not fit enough to be called up. But over the weekend, Okafor managed to feature for 21 minutes in the game against Brentford, marking his first game since he got injured in the FA Cup.
On Monday, it was confirmed that Switzerland boss Murat Yakin has called up the winger as a late replacement for Filip Ugrinić. They will face Germany and Norway over the international break.

Daniel Farke will not be pleased
This whole issue has been very complex; Yakin clearly stated that the winger was in his plans, but was not going to be ready for the break. Farke on the other hand did confirm that Okafor would feature over the weekend. So for the Switzerland boss to call the winger up with the first chance he got, figures at Leeds United will not be happy.
Noah Okafor just resumed training this week, looking at his videos on Instagram. And on Saturday, he played just 21 minutes – his first game since February. Everyone at the club will be anxious of what happens over the break. Okafor just returned from injury, but could be involved in two matches within the space of four days. Injured players need a while before they are ready to play consistent minutes, and this is why he only came off the bench against Brentford. Hopefully, Okafor returns from the international break in one piece – Leeds United need him fit for the rest of the season.
