Elif Elmas’ teammate from Napoli does not see Macedonia as a serious rival, nor Ireland and Czechia, the possible opponents in the final play-off.

The Macedonian national team will play against Denmark in the semi-final play-off for a place in the 2026 World Cup in Canada, the United States and Mexico on Thursday in Copenhagen.
The Danes are optimistic, not only for the match against Macedonia, but also for the World Cup qualification. Forward Rasmus Højlund confirmed this to TV2, saying that he “has not booked a summer vacation” as he is planning to be at World Cup.
> “We have a real chance. With all due respect to Macedonia and Czechia or Ireland, they are not France or Germany. I am convinced that there is a real opportunity to qualify and we should take advantage of it,” said Elmas’ teammate.
It is Højlund who will be the biggest threat to the Macedonian goal. This season he has scored 14 goals and 4 assists in all competitions for Napoli, for whom he plays on loan from Manchester United, and is the team’s top scorer, making excellent use of the absence of Romelu Lukaku.
