Iliman Ndiaye made headlines for his stunning goal for Everton against Chelsea – but it wasn’t enough to warrant an inclusion in Alan Shearer’s Team of the Week.
Everton enjoyed one of their best performances of the season on Saturday, beating Chelsea 3-0.
David Moyes’ side were by far the better team, as Beto scored twice before assisting Ndiaye for the third.
Everton fans, who was your standout performer in the 3-0 win over Chelsea?
So many unbelievable Toffees performers at HDS!
Everton’s hopes of European football next season have never been more alive, and a massive couple of months lie in wait.
The form of Iliman Ndiaye especially will be key.
He is Everton’s game-changer, and someone who can provide a moment of magic.
While he provided magic against Chelsea though, he was boldly overlooked by Alan Shearer.

The winger retained the ball so well, as he so often does, and earned a number of free-kicks for his side.
As per Sofascore, Ndiaye contested nine duels, winning five, and also made four tackles.
It was a very industrious performance from the Everton maverick, who also pressed hard and often.
But of course, his best moment in the game came when he latched onto Beto’s flick on, collecting the ball and working it onto his right foot before finishing into the top corner.
It was an exquisite finish from Ndiaye, who probably couldn’t have put the ball any further into the corner. No goalkeeper in the world would have saved it.
It was the goal that sealed the win, but sadly, Ndiaye’s performance wasn’t quite good enough to earn him a spot in Alan Shearer’s Team of the Week.

The Premier League’s all-time top goalscorer did, however, select three other players.
He picked James Tarkowski in his defence, James Garner in midfield and Beto in his attack.
All three of those players deserved to make it in, but it’s a slight shame that Ndiaye missed out – Shearer has selected more than three players from one club before.
Shearer’s full team for gameweek 31:
Mats Selz, Nikola Milenkovic, James Tarkowski, Ferdi Kadioglu, John McGinn, Morgan Gibbs-White, James Garner, Beto, Brian Brobbey, Danny Welbeck.
