202 Homes Approved Next To Crystal Palace Park

Plans to deliver more than 200 affordable homes next to Crystal Palace Park have been approved by Bromley Council, paving the way for the development to move ahead.

Clarion Housing Group will deliver 202 affordable homes across two sites at Rockhills and Sydenham Villas, including 148 for social rent and 54 shared ownership properties. The scheme is intended to address local housing demand while also introducing new community facilities to the area.

As part of the development, a new community centre will be created, offering a shared space for residents and local groups near the park. The homes form part of the wider regeneration vision for Crystal Palace Park, where the original land sale has already helped unlock more than £21 million in funding for improvements to the historic green space alongside the delivery of affordable housing.

The development has been designed to integrate with the surrounding neighbourhood and parkland, while expanding opportunities for local people to remain living in the area.

Richard Cook, Chief Development Officer at Clarion Housing Group, said: "We welcome the approval of our plans for new affordable homes at Crystal Palace Park. This scheme will provide much-needed homes for local people while also creating a new community centre that will serve both new and existing residents. It also forms part of the wider vision for the park, helping support investment in its ongoing regeneration.

"We have worked closely with the London Borough of Bromley and the Crystal Palace Park Trust to bring forward a thoughtful design for the site, and we look forward to continuing that partnership as the development moves towards delivery."
