Harrison Armstrong names the Everton teammate who's like a brother to him

Harrison Armstrong has shed some light on his bond with Everton midfielder Merlin Rohl.

The 19-year-old midfielder returned to Everton in January from his Preston North End and has taken no time at all to bond with the senior players on Merseyside.

Armstrong has seen his minutes under David Moyes dry up slightly over recent weeks, with Everton’s midfield back to full strength after injury issues.

There are no wrong answers here! They have all been sensational this season 🔥

But which two are you starting if you're Moyes? 🤷‍♂️

Although players are battling for minutes, it does not seem to have caused any friction behind the scenes with the midfielders.

Rohl recently shared some images to his Instagram account, which showed the bond between this group of players off the pitch.

Armstrong, Tim Iroegbunam and James Garner featured in one of the images in what appeared to be a day out amongst the players.

Is James Garner actually better as a full-back or in midfield? 🤔

He's been exceptional just about all season for the Blues!

Taking to Instagram, Armstrong replied: ‘My brother’, with Iroegbunam also saying: ‘What a guy’, whilst Garner simply said: ‘Smoothest’.

It may seem like nothing, but the togetherness on display will be playing a big part in Everton’s success this season.

Moyes is pushing Everton for European qualification and that is going to require a team effort, which is clearly on display behind the scenes.

Everton team together ahead of European push

Clearly, the two starting midfielders are set for the remainder of the season, with James Garner and Idrissa Gana Gueye impressing of late.

Garner has earned his England call-up to Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad, with the likes of Iroegbunam, Armstrong and Rohl left waiting in the wings.

They are three very solid options for Moyes to have heading into the business end of the season, which could prove even more important next season if European football is secured.

Everton need quality squad depth going forward, but that will also require players to see their minutes managed.

On the evidence of how the players are reacting away from the pitch, it would seem as if Moyes has a good group to work with.
