**Bruno Saltor**spoke about a devastating 3-0 defeat for Tottenham against Nottingham Forest.
Spurs showed up in a 1-1 draw at **Anfield**against **Premier League**reigning champions **Liverpool**before winning their first game under **Igor Tudor**with a 3-2 second leg triumph over **Atletico Madrid**in the Round of 16 of the Champions League. Even though the team bowed out of continental competition, there should have been good momentum to take on the Tricky Trees.
Yet, the hosts had a nightmare afternoon, losing 3-0 and sitting just one point above the bottom three.
Saltor on what went wrong against Forest
"I think [it went wrong] in the small details. I thought for 44 minutes in the first half we were the better team. I think any mistake that we make, any small detail goes against us and we're not able to capitalise on the opposition's mistakes, and probably that affected the team.
"The players were affected by the rhythm of the game, and we couldn't find that rhythm to create more chances. The first half, the first 44 minutes, I thought we were really good, creating chances, getting into the box. In the second half, probably, we were unable to deal with the weight of the game.
“The players, they care and they are 100 per cent trying their best, but at the moment, it's not enough. We need to minimise any mistakes because we know that we're going to concede a goal.
“The best way to do it is focusing every day on doing your best, trying to be the best version of yourself, trying to push through difficulties, focusing on every action, not focusing on the end goal. It's just focusing and giving your best every day. That sounds a topic, but that's the only thing that you can do. We need to reflect on ourselves and try to get the best version because we need it now."
“We feel the support from everyone at the club and we're just focusing on how we can help the players. Obviously, a lot of players, they're leaving now for the internationals and as soon as they get back on the training ground, we'll try to get everyone up to speed and prepare for the next game.
*“The last two games against Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, I thought they were great performances from the first minute to the last minute. The first half today, to be honest, I think we should have been 1-0 up at least. If you look at the stats, we created clear chances, but as I said, right now, every small detail is going against us and it's about turning that around. That's what gives me confidence.*
“[The fans] were outstanding from the first minute when we were coming in and to the last minute. They stayed. They showed their support. It was quite emotional for everyone on the bus and that's what we need because right now, all of us, we have the same goal and that is to fight until the end of the season and stay in the Premier League as this club deserves."
