Julian Araujo returning to Bournemouth for injury treatment is entirely standard practice for the popular Celtic loanee.
The Mexican defender has been a rare bright spark during a highly chaotic season for Celtic, but his recent trip south has prompted some completely unnecessary speculation.
Speaking on the Let Me Be Frank Podcast, pundit Simon Houston bizarrely suggested it’s ‘odd’ that Araujo has returned to Bournemouth after picking up an injury.
Everyone can debate the extent of Araujo’s injury and whether or not he will return to Celtic.
In fact, it doesn’t help that the club themselves haven’t officially commented on the situation, and it further proves how they are very weak when it comes to communicating.
But Araujo returning to Bournemouth is standard practice despite Houston’s suggestion.
Will Celtic regret not inserting an option to buy in their Julian Araujo loan from Bournemouth?

Julian Araujo is a ‘success’ story at Celtic after he returns to Bournemouth
Almost every modern loan agreement includes strict clauses requiring a player to return to their parent club for treatment if they suffer a significant knock.

It probably indicates that Celtic fans shouldn’t expect Araujo to return anytime soon, which is a shame, because he made such a positive impact.
Everyone has seen the mess Celtic have produced this season, and, ironically, the positive light has come from a player signed by Wilfried Nancy.
That’s why Frank McAvennie was right to express his excitement at what he saw from Araujo when discussing his injury situation.
Houston: “It just seems odd that Araujo is down at Bournemouth getting treatment for his supposed injury.
“The one success story from Wilfried Nancy was getting that Mexican boy in, and now it looks like we might not see him in a Celtic strip again.”
Frank McAvennie: “That’s ridiculous because he was worth every minute he played. I thought he was exciting.”
