Leeds United players ranked by their senior national team caps: From Bijol to Dcl

There is arguably no bigger honour in football than representing your country, and a whole host of Leeds United players are about to do just that.

The international break is here again, offering clubs a chance to pause their hectic schedules and take stock, while their very best players jet off to play for their national teams. In this window, 13 players have been called up for duty, the highlights of which are undoubtedly the recalls of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Anton Stach for England and Germany, respectively.

Elsewhere, Wales has a very Leeds-heavy squad, with Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon, Karl Darlow and Dan James all called in. Defenders Jaka Bijol and Gabriel Gudmundsson have also made the Slovenia and Sweden squads - the latter taking on Ukraine in a key World Cup qualification playoff.

With Elland Road emptying as key figures jet across the globe, that got us thinking about the pedigree of the current squad. So, take a look at the gallery below as we rank Daniel Farke’s players by the number of senior international caps they’ve picked up to date.
