Julian Araujo has dropped a message on Instagram with the defender donning the Celtic colours as he returns to Bournemouth after his recent injury issues.
The Mexican defender has returned to the Premier League club after Araujo suffered an injury at Celtic which could effectively end his season in Paradise.
And as the marauding right-back begins his rehab at Bournemouth, Araujo sent a cryptic ‘What God left behind’ message to the Celtic supporters.
Has Julian Araujo dropped a hint about his Celtic future?
Should Celtic break the bank for the Mexican defender?

Julian Araujo’s Instagram message will have Celtic fans asking questions
Celtic players and Instagram has caused trouble in the past for the club, but it seems that Araujo’s message is more puzzling for the Hoops support, rather than controversial.
Araujo’s message quoted bible verse Genesis 19:17 and translates as, “What God left behind will never be better than what lies ahead.”
So what does Araujo mean with this message? Is the Mexican happy to return to Bournemouth or is he hinting at a touch of regret at how his Celtic spell has ended?
Interpreting Julian Araujo’s Celtic message
There are, of course, two ways to look at this message. The first is from a Bournemouth angle. Araujo could be simply stating that he is looking ahead to his journey down south after enjoying a fantastic spell at Celtic.

The other, and this is the one we want it to be, is that “What God left behind will never be better than what lies ahead” means that wherever Araujo goes now, nothing will better his time at Celtic.
Because, let’s be honest here, Celtic fans loved the defender and Araujo clearly developed a close bond with the Hoops support.
That was evident when he scored that last-gasp winner in Celtic’s win at Kilmarnock. The scenes Araujo witnessed then will unlikely be experienced again.
Interestingly, Bournemouth teammate Ryan Christie, who knows exactly what it’s like to leave Parkhead for the EPL, recently revealed that Araujo was ‘stunned’ by the intensity of the Celtic support.
Christie noted that Julian ‘absolutely loved’ his time in Glasgow. When you pair that inside info with his ‘Don’t look back’ biblical quote, the ‘regret’ angle starts to look a lot more likely than a simple goodbye.
