Aston Villa are said to be considering making an audacious move for PSG’s Ibrahim Mbaye.

The 18-year-old Senegalese forward would consider a summer transfer, report Sky Sports, having been mainly used as a sub by Luis Enrique.

But it is understood Villa would face serious competition for the teenager and qualifying for the Champions League will definitely be a factor in any potential deal.

Having come through the Ligue 1 club’s youth system, Mbaye made the breakthrough at Paris Saint-Germain last season and has played 25 times for the European champions so far this season, with 15 of those appearances coming as a substitute.

He was also part of the Senegal squad at the recent Africa Cup of Nations.

Enrique has previously been full of praise for the player who is under contract at PSG until 2028.

"He's a quality player, and we're very happy to have players of his calibre,” he said at the end of last year.

"He's still very young, and we have a lot of confidence in his future."
