Former Wales striker Robert Earnshaw turned into Robert “Unsure” earlier today after making a complete hash of predicting the relegation run-in during his appearance on Sky Sports.
The former Cardiff striker was invited on to assess the chances of [Leeds United](https://www.claretandhugh.info/leeds-united-bio/), Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham in the battle to stay in the Premier League.
Earnshaw initially offered what sounded like a reasonable take when asked who had the easiest run-in, claiming: “West Ham have the most winnable games.”
Pundit’s Predictions Make Little Sense
--------------------------------------
However, things quickly unravelled.
In the same breath, Earnshaw then bizarrely predicted that West Ham would not win a single game for the remainder of the season — completely contradicting his earlier point.
It didn’t get much better from there. He went on to suggest that Leeds United would be safe before the end of the campaign, before claiming their desire to stay up would make them ultra-competitive when the two sides meet on the final day. Erm . . . what?
It really was a baffling set of predictions, as if the pundit had simply sharted out a series of thoughts without properly considering the fixtures or form.
For what it’s worth, “Unsure” also tipped Tottenham to survive the drop — but only by a single point.
