Player who left Nottingham Forest in January makes a mockery of Sean Dyche decision

Nottingham Forest had every right to sack Sean Dyche following a drab 0-0 draw at home to Wolves, with the former youth team player looking badly out of his depth.

Evangelos Marinakis canvassed opinion from senior Forest players after the City Ground clash, and it resulted in Dyche being marched out of the club.

A number of players have rediscovered themselves since Dyche departed, and the fact that the fringe players turned in a superb performance against Midtjylland last week is a bad look for the former boss.

Now, another player is starring after leaving Forest, and it’s another awful look towards Dyche, who might be struggling to work in the Premier League again after his latest managerial debacle.

Cuiabano stars after Forest exit

The left-back was completely ignored by Dyche during his time at the City Ground, and it wasn’t a surprise when he headed to Vasco da Gama without making an appearance.

Dyche regularly criticised the fringe players at his disposal, and perhaps had he kept his mouth shut in the media, he’d have stood a better chance of getting a tune out of them.

Cuiabano has made a complete mockery of Dyche’s decision not to try him in any game he took charge of, with some strong form at the start of the Brazilian campaign.

The 25-year-old is on loan with Vasco, but a £9 million purchase option is included in the deal, which could be activated during the summer transfer window.

Cuiabano has five goal contributions in the last four matches he’s played, with some suggestions that the Brazil national team are starting to monitor his progress.

It looks as though Cuiabano will be heading to Vasco on a permanent basis and the decision by Dyche not to try him out looks more foolish by the week at the moment.
