Lorenzo Lucca was signed to appease Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest desires in the January transfer window, and the move has proved pretty disastrous.
The Italian scored 14 goals for Udinese last season, but so far at Forest, he’s not really made his mark on the team, despite scoring on his debut against Leeds.
How would you rate Lorenzo Lucca following his praise from Midtjylland boss Mike Tullberg? Let us know in the comments below…
Lucca is only on an initial loan from Napoli, and with Vitor Pereira getting his feet under the table, it would appear as though he’s already made up his mind on the striker.

Vitor Pereira doesn’t want Forest to sign Lorenzo Lucca
With a £40 million deal agreed between the two clubs as part of the loan terms, there is much speculation around Lucca’s future at Forest.
Area Napoli has now claimed that there is nothing to suggest that Lucca will remain at Forest beyond the summer, with the suggestion that Pereira has informed the club that he doesn’t want to sign him permanently.
Pereira has used Taiwo Awoniyi instead of Lucca in the Premier League campaign and with Chris Wood on his way back to full fitness, it’s hard to see when the Italian player will get another minute of action for Forest.
Do you agree with this Chris Wood claim?

Forest signed Lucca clearly for Dyche who liked to spam balls into the box and encouraged his defenders to get the ball forward at all costs.
Now, the writing looks to be on the wall for Lucca and it would appear as though the Reds are going to be in the market for a striker once again in January.
