In the first part of the video announcement, Salah confirmed he would be leaving at the end of the year: "Hello everyone. Unfortunately, the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell: I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season."
An agreement has therefore been reached with the club for the mutual termination of his contract, which was due to expire on 30 June 2027, bringing it to an end a year early.
